PPGL, or Pre-Painted Galvalume Steel Coil, is manufactured by applying a durable color coating over galvalume steel (Al-Zn alloy coated steel). With a base metal of galvalume steel, which contains 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon, the coil is then coated with paints such as PE, HDP, SMP, or PVDF to enhance its corrosion resistance, weatherability, and visual appeal. The coating is hydrophilic. Rainwater can form a complete water film on the surface of the paint film, and the dust attached to the surface of the paint film can be easily removed.
